Overview
Paper is yarn dyed and then cut into thin strips and wound into spools called “cakes”. Coloring prior to weaving creates more color consistency. Two artisans then take these spools or “cakes” and hand guide the weaving machine to create woven paper texture. WESTERN WEAVE brings the unique addition of cotton yarns, creating a hybrid weave.
