“Back in 1978, my initial idea of introducing wallpaper to the local market was met with scepticism, as the concept was still unfamiliar to many.” Shared by Mr Andry Rizal Mutheardy.

Pioneering the Interior Design Industry in Indonesia

With a clear vision and unwavering belief in the potential of interior wallcoverings, Mr Mutheardy began his journey in 1978. Although wallpaper was not widely accepted at the time, he had great faith that it would soon become an essential element in interior design, particularly in hotels, residential developments, and commercial projects across Southeast Asia.
This conviction led to the founding of Goodrich Global Indonesia in 1991, in partnership with Goodrich Global Singapore. What started with a focus on premium wallpaper has since evolved into a comprehensive provider of interior finishing products, including luxury carpets, resilient and vinyl flooring, and decorative fabrics.

In 2021, our legacy was further strengthened when Sangetsu Corporation of Japan which is a global leader in interior solutions which became the sole owner of Goodrich Global Group. This acquisition marked a new chapter of business continuity and international integration, aligning Goodrich Indonesia with Sangetsu’ s global standards in interior design innovation, product development and sourcing to business infrastructure and operational support

A Legacy Continued Through Family Leadership

It has been a source of pride to witness my son, Zalfrid Pardomuan, carry forward the company’s legacy. Beginning his journey as a salesman, he worked from the ground up to understand the intricacies of the business. Today, he serves as President Director, and under his leadership over the past six years, we have significantly strengthened our operations for Business to Business and Business to Customer markets.
With a presence in six key regions of Jakarta, we are now focused on expanding our digital footprint to enhance customer outreach and stay ahead in an increasingly digital world.
