Fuelled with a strong belief that wallpaper would develop fast in the interior design industry, coupled with my confidence and perseverance, I set out on a business journey partnering Goodrich Global Singapore that took me to establish Goodrich Global Indonesia in 1991.
Now, wallpaper is well accepted in the interior design industry. Along the way, other products in the categories of carpet, flooring and fabric have also developed fast in the market. Goodrich Global Indonesia has been establish the business and has managed to stay at the forefront of the industry, not only as the market leader in wallcoverings, but also as a specialist in the above-mentioned interior finishing products.
Our fellow employees, partners and customers are integral to our success. I always believe that employees are the most valuable asset in our company. This has been proven throughout our of journey. Despite experiencing countless number of setbacks, especially during the 1997 and 1998 monetary crises, our resilient team has always managed to stay the course and move forward.
We also highly value our partners. My long and strong relationship with Chan Chong Beng, Founder and Chairman of Goodrich Global, has borne the sweet fruit of trust, which in turn builds a strong bedrock of Goodrich Global Headquarters and Goodrich Global Indonesia to create sustainable business growth. What also make us stronger are our successful co-branding partnership in which we have formed strong alliances with esteemed interior design brands to create synergies.
I have been fortunate that my son, Zalfrid Pardomuan has shown interest in this business since a very young age and started as a salesman to lean about the business and working his way up. For the last six years, he has been at the helm of the company. Under his leadership, Goodrich Global Indonesia has built strong and empowered management teams that manage our headquarters, regional offices and 6 Goodrich Galleries across the country.
With customer satisfaction being the core of our business, we always keep abreast with innovations and trends in the world of interior designs. This way, we can maintain and even enhance the quality of our savoir-faire to serve customers in the most favorable manner. Reaching our silver anniversary in one memorable milestone; and as we continue to set the stage for sustained growth, we look forward to more remarkable milestones in the years ahead.

Twenty-nine years ago my father, Andry Mutheardy, founded Goodrich Global Indonesia and started a journey to striving for corporate excellence. With persistence and confidence, his endeavors have fuelled the company’s rapid growth.
We want each team to adopt the “think-out-of-the-box” mindset. The more creative and enterprising they are, the more irreplaceable our products and services become. As a customer-centric company, innovation is of great importance.
Customers nowadays have more exacting needs and desires, hence, we need to keep updating our product ranges to cater to the changing demand. Goodrich Global is famed for its extensive range of high-quality interior furnishings. Yet, we will never stop improving our product varieties.
My father has spent over a decade to train me as his successor since I have shown interest in the interior furnishing business. Continuing his legacy, I aim to take the company to the next level by encouraging innovation and creativity. This means taking a novel approach to leadership to cultivate a culture of creativity; and this has been demonstrated by our business strategy where our offices and galleries throughout Indonesia are managed by decentralized teams.
With more and more people becoming more environmentally conscious, this has led to the increasing demand for eco-friendly products. Goodrich Global now carries a variety of these products that cater to wallcovering, fabric, carpet and floorings needs. We also keep an eye of emerging developments in environmentally-friendly products.
As the second generation of company management, I have made growing our business my priority. We now successfully operate regional offices and Goodrich Galleries in many of Indonesia’s major cities, with the plan to add more to cater to growing markets. We have constructed the Goodrich Suites Hotel in Jakarta.
Our dedication to quality has been our greatest strength in our business. It has built the trust that has led to creating strong relationships with our customers and partners. Such a great achievement would not have possible without the hard work of our employees, who are our greatest asset.
We have successfully leveraged our teams and strong business ties to great effect, and will keep striving to accomplish even more.
