Lunar New Year is just around the corner and it only means one thing – it’s time for Spring Cleaning! 
Let’s kick off the new year with a fresh looking clean home. Many of our clients who installed wallcoverings\/wallpapers in their homes are puzzled how to clean their covered walls. Here are some 8 tips on how to clean your wallcovered walls.<\/p>\n

1. First, Identify your wallcovered walls whether it is vinyl covered, paper covered or made from natural materials like silk\/ coconut shells or pearls shelled. If it is vinyl or paper surfaced wallcoverings, you could vacuum your walls lighty. If it is silk\/coconut shells or pearl shelled, it would be best to consult the sales representatives on the cleaning instructions.<\/p>\n

2. Generally for all wallcoverings, one can remove ordinary household dirt and smudges with mild soap and warm water lightly. Avoid scrubbing!<\/p>\n

3. Clean with clean water and mild cleanser from the top to down with a sponge. When cleaning is completed, clean the wall again with clean water to remove any residual cleanser. <\/p>\n

4. Dry the surface with a soft, lint-free loth or towel with a blotting action rather than rubbing.<\/p>\n

5. For a more diffuclt surface stain, use a stronger detergent accoding to the manufaturer’s instructions. When in doubt, please email to info@goodrichglobal.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n

6. Avoid using powdered abrasive cleaners to clean the wall. These may scratch the wallpaper or vinyl wall cover.<\/p>\n

7. Do not use active solvent-type cleaning preparations, such as nail polish remover, tar and bug removers as these will remove the protective surface of the wallcovering\/wallpapers’ finishes.<\/p>\n

8. For water stains from leakage of the aircon and pipes, it will be recommended to replace the wallcoverings\/wallpaper. Attempts to clean it may result in patches.<\/p>\n
